A Vietnam-Japan Investment Forum was held in Yokohama city of Japan's Kanagawa prefecture on September 8 as part of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh has proposed that Japan and Kanagawa prefecture create favourable conditions for Japanese and Vietnamese businesses to strengthen investment partnership and implement economic and cooperation activities in other fields, especially creative industry, agriculture, education and training.

Japan has supported Vietnam in completing many transport projects of large-scale investment and complex construction technology.

The Vietnam visit by the Japanese Emperor and Queen in 2017 and upcoming Japan visit by President Tran Dai Quang as a national guest is the symbol of the closest friendship between the two countries.

Vietnam treasures its strategic partnership with Japan and considers Japan an important and long-term partner, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc

Vietnam has effectively used Japan’s official development assistance in building infrastructure, said Vice President of the Japanese International Friendship Exchange Council (FEC) Yoshihiko Nakagaki.

Vietnam treasures the practical and trustworthy partnership with Japan, considering it a priority in the country’s foreign relations policy, stated Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
