Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has sent a message to the Second Berlin Climate and Security Conference which is held on June 24.
Vietnam has been a proactive and responsible nation, committed to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, said Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung during a reception for Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Hoesung Lee in Hanoi on October 10.
A carbon market will be one of the means for Vietnam to achieve the committed greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets, according to Nguyen Van Tue – Director of the Department of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change.
A workshop was held in Hanoi on June 28 to kick off the review and update of Vietnam’s nationally determined contributions (NDCs) which are meant to realise the Paris Agreement on climate change.
