Vietnam has called for more humanitarian aid for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) during the United Nations Security Council’s meeting on the country’s unrest and activities of the UN Organisation Stabilisation Mission in the DR Congo (MONUSCO) on December 6.
Ambassador Pham Hai Anh, Deputy Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations, reiterated the need to promote reconciliation in a bid to put an end to violence and address security challenges in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Vietnamese Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy called for greater efforts to protect civilians in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) at a UN Security Council videoconference held on March 30.
Constructive dialogues and reconciliation efforts will help settle conflicts in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo), particularly cross-border security challenges, said Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnamese mission to the United Nations.
