Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien met with South African Ambassador Mpetjane Kgaogelo Lekgoro on April 2, saying that Vietnam is now in urgent need of diversifying coal supply sources as it is promoting post-pandemic economic recovery.
Vietnam and South Africa have performed fine coordination at multilateral forums as well as in economy, trade and investment, stated President Nguyen Xuan Phuc while receiving outgoing South African Ambassador to Vietnam Mpetjane Kgaogelo Lekgoro in Hanoi on December 15.
Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue on September 20 had separate meetings with ambassadors of South Africa and Nigeria to discuss preparations for the upcoming working visit to the two countries by a Government delegation.
