The sixth national festival of the art of Then singing and Tinh gourd lute of the Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic groups officially opened in Ha Giang city, the northernmost province of Ha Giang, on May 13.
The Khau Vai Love Market festival took place in Khau Vai commune, Meo Vac district of the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang on May 11, spotlighting the unique cultures of ethnic groups in the locality.
Lang Son encouraged the establishment of local Then singing clubs to promote the development of this genre of traditional singing – a typical culture of Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic people in the northern mountainous region.
The sixth edition of the National Festival of Traditional Then singing will take place on May 12-14 in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, with the participation of artists from 14 provinces and cities nationwide.
