A new vocational training programme set up by the Women's Union in HCM City has helped middle-aged women with few skills earn more income.

Hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City districts have shared knowledge about advanced medical techniques in an aim to offer treatment normally provided to patients admitted to city-level or central-level hospitals, under requirements of the city’s Department of Health.

HCM City has about 200 bridges in need of repair or replacement, 30 of which will be repaired by 2020, said Bui Xuan Cuong, director of the city’s Department of Transport.

Public hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City will be allowed to employ doctors and other health staff members without the city’s household registration book starting in November.
