Some 2,000 children and teenagers under 16 years old in the northern provine of Lai Chau recieved have free screening for congenital heart disease in a two-day charity programme.
All Vietnamese citizens, both at home and overseas, and foreigners living in Vietnam are invited to join a song writing contest for children with heart defects, namely “Viet Tiep Uoc Mo” (Keep writing dreams).
Free heart disease screenings were given to poor children under 16 years old in northern Thai Binh province on August 12 as part of a charity project “Trai tim cho em” (Operation Healthy Heart).
