India’s Institute of Social Sciences inaugurated its Centre for Vietnam Studies on May 15 in New Delhi.

The 10th political consultation and 7th strategic dialogue at the deputy foreign ministerial level between Vietnam and India took place in New Delhi on April 9-10.

Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung and Secretary of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs Preeti Saran co-chaired the 20th ASEAN-India Senior Officials’ Meeting in Hanoi on April 5-6.

India has always been a steadfast friend and a development partner of Vietnam, an official from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said.

Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung and his Indian counterpart Preeti Saran co-chaired the ninth political consultation and sixth strategic dialogue at the deputy foreign ministerial level between Vietnam and India in Hanoi on October 24.

President Truong Tan Sang appreciated contributions made by Indian Ambassador Preeti Saran to the friendship between Vietnam and India, when he received her in Hanoi on February 25.

The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics awarded the insignia “For the course of building and developing the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics” to Preeti Saran, Ambassador of India.

Deputy Defence Minister Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh gave a reception in Hanoi on January 18 for outgoing Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Preeti Saran.

Vietnamese Ambassador to India Ton Sinh Thanh and Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Preeti Saran granted a joint interview to Vietnam News Agency correspondents in New Delhi on the two countries' ties.
