Laos boosts aviation development

The state-run Lao Airlines will buy two more ATR72-600 airplanes in 2014 to expand its service networks on both domestic and international routes.

Foreign air carriers expand

Five international carriers have registered to open new routes or reopen flights to Vietnam by the end of the year, bringing the number of foreign airlines operating in Vietnam to 48.

Da Nang-Taipei air route to open

Direct service between China’s Taipei and Da Nang, Vietnam will begin December 26, according to a representative from the route operator, Taiwan-based TransAsia Airways.
