The Ministry of Transport has approved the construction of a 14km bypass around Ca Mau City on National Highway 1A.

The Mekong Delta province of Ca Mau, which is located along the southern coastal corridor linking Vietnam with Cambodia and Thailand, is implementing a master plan to develop transport through 2020 with a vision to 2030.

Vietnam has actively taken part in developing initiatives for enhanced cooperation within the GMS to boost economic growth, strengthen economic connectivity and aid poverty reduction effort in the region.
