Eleven minor earthquakes have occurred in Vietnam since the beginning of this year, according to the Standing Office of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.
Storm Matmo, which swept through the south central coast on October 30, has left one unaccounted for and 14 injured, all in Quang Ngai province, as of 8:00 am on November 1.
Flash floods and landslides triggered by downpours in the past days had left 19 dead, 11 missing and 12 injured in the northern mountainous provinces of Lai Chau and Ha Giang by 16:00 on June 26.
