Nineteen State-owned groups and corporations under the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC) incurred losses worth more than 3.7 trillion VND (160 million USD) in the first quarter of this year due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ownership of 21 large State-owned groups and corporations is likely to be transferred from ministries and sectors to the Committee on State capital management at enterprises.
As many as 43 State-owned enterprises (SoEs), including six corporations, were cleared for equitisation in the first seven months of this year, according to the Finance Ministry on August 10.
