Vietnam topped the Southeast Asian (SEA) Age Group Swimming Championship which concluded at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex Swimming Pool in Brunei on November 12.
The Vietnamese team topped at the Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championship which took place from December 9 – 11 in Thailand, said Vietnam Aquatic Sports Association on December 12.
Nguyen Diep Phuong Tram from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, won four gold medals and set a record at the first day of the Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championship in Thailand on December 10.
Nguyen Thi Anh Vien on November 17 set a new Asian record in the 400m individual medley with 4 minutes 37.71 seconds at the Asian Swimming Championship 2016 in Japan.
Some 262 swimmers from eight Southeast Asian countries are joining in the 39th Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championship, which opened in the central coastal city of Da Nang on December 4.
Vietnamese swimmers lived up to expectations, amassing 15 gold medals at the 8th Asian Age Swimming Championship, which finished in Bangkok, Thailand on October 4.
