Thailand has become the leading exporter of automobiles to Vietnam in the first four months of this year, with 10,155 units, accounting for 35 percent of total car imports.

Imported goods, including home appliances and food, have begun to dominate shelves in malls and specialty shops.

The increased presence of Thai imports will motivate local producers and the economy, but it also poses a fierce challenge for domestic products.
