A library for kids, located at the Hanoi Children’s Palace, has been inaugurated on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Vietnam was the first country in Asia and the second in the world to ratify United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1990.

Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh has reaffirmed Vietnam’s strong commitments to implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the country’s Law on Children.

The Prime Minister has decided to establish a National Committee for Children which will help the Government and the PM deal with child-related issues and implement children’s rights.

Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam has called for stronger commitments by every sector at all levels and the entire society to the child protection, care and education.
