Vietnam voiced support for provision of assistance to Iraq in addressing current challenges in the war-torn country during a UN Security Council meeting on November 23.
Vietnam welcomes efforts of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) and international organisations and partners to assist Iraq in organising early elections scheduled for this October, said Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnam’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnamese mission to the United Nations, on November 24 called on the international community to continue support for Iraq, which is facing deep-rooted economic, social and political challenges.
