The World University Service (WUS) and authorities of Hessen state of Germany will provide scholarships worth 205,000 EUR (230,625 USD) to students of the Vietnamese-German University (VGU) who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has requested the construction of the Vietnamese-German University (VGU)’s new campus in the southern province of Binh Duong be accelerated.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the Vietnamese-German University, based in Thu Dau Mot city of the southern province of Binh Duong, on June 22, asking it to better serve as a bridge linking the two countries.
International standard Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees were presented to 43 students who have successfully completed programmes offered by the Vietnam-Germany University (VGU).
Vietnam will work closely with Germany to turn the Vietnam-Germany University (VGU) into a model university, contributing to comprehensively reforming Vietnam’s university education system.
Binh Duong-based VN-Germany University should provide international-standard training for not only local students but also those from other Southeast Asian countries, said President Truong Tan Sang.
