The 8th Vietnam-Japan Festival kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on February 25 under the theme of “Vietnam-Japan stand side by side towards the future, reaching out to the world”.
Ho Chi Minh City has attached great importance to and highly evaluated the good relationship between Vietnam and Japan and always defined its important role in enhancing the two countries’ bilateral ties, a municipal official has said.
Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Phan Van Mai received Takebe Tsutomu, Special Advisor to the Japan - Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance, on February 23 to discuss the organisation of the eighth Vietnam - Japan Festival.
The 8th Vietnam – Japan Festival – the biggest of this kind will take place in Ho Chi Minh on February 23 – 26 as part of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the two countries, heard a meeting in Ho Chi Minh City on February 16.
Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Van Mai hosted a reception for Special Advisor to the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance (JVFPA) Takebe Tsutomu on October 10.
Various activities, including cultural shows, exhibitions, sport events and seminars, are underway as part of the Vietnam – Japan Festival 2022 which is taking place in the central city of Da Nang until July 17.
The sixth Vietnam-Japan Festival kicked off at the September 23 Park in Ho Chi Minh City’s district 1 on January 19 with the theme “Holding Hands Tightly”.
After four editions, the annual Vietnam-Japan festival has left good impression on Vietnamese people and boosted their understanding about Japan, said NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
