Phở, a Vietnamese noodle soup sold on almost all street corners in Vietnam, has found itself in 34th place on a list of the 100 most popular dishes in the world compiled by international food magazine TasteAtlas.
“Hard to resist” is what Theign Yie Phan, a head chef of a restaurant, describes Vietnamese “banh mi” (sandwich), which opens an article entitled “Story of the banh mi: Vietnam’s super sandwich that took on the world” run in the South China Morning Post.
Pho (noodle soup), one of the traditional dishes of Vietnam, was introduced to Australian friends in a Vietnam culture festival in Canberra on March 4.
If tourists have tried one Vietnamese dish, it's most likely pho. But, according to CNN, there's much more to Vietnam's diverse noodle scene than this familiar food. And bún is one of a kind.
