A workshop on "Maritime sector’s contributions to a blue economy for the seas of East Asia” was organised in the central city of Da Nang on November 18.

Workshops on issues related to climate change risk management, integrated coastal management and scaling up investments in the blue economy was held on Nov. 17 as part of the East Asian Seas Congress.

Philippine Environment Secretary Ramon Paje has called for closer cooperation among member economies of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation to ensure food security and blue economy in the region.
