Police in the northern border province of Lao Cai have broken a drug trafficking ring, seizing two suspects and 20 bricks (7kg) of heroin.

Three people were arrested recently in the northern province of Son La for smuggling 20 bricks of heroin and more than 2,360 synthetic drug pills, police in the province’s Moc Chau district announced on September 28.

The Ho Chi Minh City Police said on September 9 that they busted a ring smuggling a combined 47 kilogrammes of drug from Cambodia to the Vietnamese southern hub.
