The garment-textile sector has gained significant benefits brought about by the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) as more and more European businesses are investing in the industry.
Vietnam’s textile industry could not take full advantage from the new-generation free trade agreements like the Europe-Vietnam free trade agreement (EVFTA) and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) if it continues dependence on imported raw and accessories, according to watchers.
Vietnam spent 338 million USD to import 1.22 million tonnes of fertiliser in Q1 of this year, up 31.5 percent in volume and around 24 percent in value compared to the same period last year.
