Indonesian Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita has said that the country is targeting to produce 2 million electric motorcycles by 2024.

Hanoi plans to study the possibility of bicycle lanes being part of infrastructure development, a step the capital city has never taken to date. The move is part of the plan to prevent traffic congestion in the city for the 2022-2025 period.

Many international partners want to cooperate with manufacturer PEGA Vietnam to ship PEGA-S electric motorbikes to China and Europe.

Vietnamese electric motorbike manufacturer PEGA has recently signed contracts with a value of nearly 3 million USD to export two types of electric motorbikes to Cuba after its partner in the Caribbean nation had successfully tested and assessed the products’ overall quality.

The Vietnamese electric motorbike market is seeing the participation of more and more domestic and foreign manufacturers.

Compulsory registration will be applied for electric motorbikes from December 6 following the Ministry of Public Security’s Circular 54.
