More trains for Ho Chi Minh City’s first metro line between Ben Thanh and Suoi Tien have arrived at Khanh Hoi Port from Japan on May 6.

The importation of the 17 trains of Ho Chi Minh City’s first metro line, Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien, is expected to be completed this month.

Japanese contractor Hitachi on May 11 completed the installation of all three passenger carriages of train No. 2 onto a trial track at a depot of Ho Chi Minh City’s Metro Line No.1 between Ben Thanh Market and Suoi Tien Theme Park.

HCM City has received two more trains for its metro route No 1 between Ben Thanh and Suoi Tien, scheduled to begin commercial operations next year.
