The Government and people of Oman have presented 300,000 USD of aid to people in flood-hit central provinces of Vietnam.

The UN Population Fund (UNFPA) Vietnam handed over 3,704 necessity kits for elderly people in three flood-hit central provinces of Ha Tinh, Quang Tri and Quang Ngai to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee on January 26.

The ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Centre) has sent aid to the two Vietnamese provinces of Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Tri hit by flooding that has caused loss of life and property.

Nearly 6,900 tonnes of rice will be provided for the central provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh to support people affected by storms and floods this year.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung on November 8 received 11,850 USD donated by Vietnamese expats in Laos to locals in flood-hit central provinces.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee on November 6 received 700 million VND (over 31,000 USD) and 10,000 USD donated by overseas Vietnamese to local residents in flood-hit central provinces.
