The retail price of a 12 kg cooking gas canister in Ho Chi Minh City and southern localities climbed by 19,000 VND (0,85 USD) to nearly 300,000 VND (13.44 USD) per canister from November 1.

The prices of RON 92 petrol and bio-fuel E5 rose 172 VND and 160 VND per litre, respectively, from 4:30 pm on October 5.

The prices of RON 92 petrol and bio-fuel E5 were raised 702 VND (0.31 USD) and 611 VND 0.27 USD) per litre from 3:00 pm on September 5.

Fishermen brought ashore 2 million tonnes of seafood in the first eight months of 2016, up 1.1 percent over the same period last year thanks to favourable weather and stable fuel price.

Ministry of Transport will require transportation businesses to slash transport fees within five days of the fuel price reduction, a senior official from the ministry said.
