A well-known transgender couple – Minh Khang and Minh Anh – have welcomed their first baby, making the husband Minh Khang the first transgender man in Vietnam to get pregnant and give birth to a baby.
Vietnam will increase the number of communal health care centres in charge of preventing, managing and treating several non-contagious diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes in the next 12 months.
Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien said it is a must to improve the quality and operational efficiency of grassroots-level health care centres in order to attract more patients.
Free medical check-ups and medicines were provided for 1,200 ethnic minority people in the districts of Thach That, Quoc Oai and Chuong My, Hanoi on June 18.
