Vietnam exported goods worth 8.21 billion USD to the Americas in January and spent 1.64 billion USD on imports from this market, resulting in a trade surplus of 6.56 billion USD, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
Two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and the US has increased nearly 120 times, reaching over 60 billion USD in 2018 from 450 million USD in 1994, since the normalisation of bilateral relations 25 years ago.
Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim’s official visit to Vietnam from August 22-28 is a chance for the two countries to seek measures to beef up and deepen the bilateral partnership.
