Vietnam on April 28 reported 3,094 new COVID-19 cases – the highest recorded in a day in the past over six months, according to the Ministry of Health.
The number of COVID-19 cases has increased rapidly since the beginning of April, said Prof Phan Trong Lan, director of the Department of Preventive Medicine under the Ministry of Health (MoH), at a conference on the pandemic prevention and combat held on April 17 in Hanoi.
The number of new COVID-19 cases is on the rise again, with those infected with Omicron variant making up the majority, and mainly concentrating in the northern region - where the season is changing, Prof. Phan Trong Lan, Director of the Health Ministry's Department of Preventive Medicine reported at a press conference on April 13.
Vietnam's COVID-19 caseload rose to 11,526,577 with 11 new cases recorded on February 6, four more than the previous day, according to the Ministry of Health.
The national COVID-19 caseload rose to 11,524,273 with 71 new cases recorded on December 25, the lowest for many months, according to the Ministry of Health.
The national COVID-19 caseload rose to 11,524,202 with 109 new cases documented on December 24, the lowest daily number recorded in over one year, according to the Ministry of Health.
