Vietnam’s business environment has become safer and fairer for all economic sectors, with improved public administrative service delivery and declining informal fees, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Vu Tien Loc told a workshop in Hanoi on April 20.
The control of corruption in the public sector last year showed the best performance in a decade, since the Vietnam Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) survey was first conducted.
Hanoi is taking action to improve administrative and governance efficiency in order to proactively meet the needs of local residents and thereby raise its Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) ranking in 2020 and the years to come.
Ho Chi Minh City’s district authorities and state offices are setting up hotlines, working extra hours and visiting residents’ houses to provide public administrative procedures.
