The state-owned Vietnam Railway Corporation and the Indo Trans Logistics Corporation held a ceremony on November 6 to commence the construction of a railway logistics centre in Yen Vien station.
The state-owned Vietnam Railway Corporation (VNR) inked a build-operate-transfer (BOT) deal with Indo Trans Logistics Corporation (ITL) to build the Yen Vien Railway Logistics Centre in Hanoi.
A logistics centre and container depot at Hanoi's Yen Vien station,
planned to be built in the second quarter, is set to become the first
private investment in the railways in Vietnam.
Numerous big investors have shown their interest in joining national
railway projects, Vu Ta Tung, General Director of Vietnam Railways (VNR)
was quoted as saying by Giao Thong (Transport) newspaper.
