The fifth coconut festival in the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre is scheduled to take place from November 12-18 this year, offering a diverse range of activities across the province, announced Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Truong Quoc Phong.

The Mekong Delta city of Can Tho will host the seventh Southern Traditional Cake Festival from April 25-29, said the local People’s Committee on March 7.
The 7th southern food festival began at Dam Sen Park in Ho Chi Minh City on May 24, treating gastronomic fans to more than 250 local culinary delights.
With an abundance of seafood, southerners have created a wide variety of dishes featuring fish in various modes - stewed fish, grilled fish, fermented fish, fish vermicelli and, of course, the ubiquitous fish sauce.
The 6th Southern Cuisine Festival will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from May 28-June 1 to promote Vietnamese and particularly southern cuisine to both domestic and international visitors.
