The Viet Nam Pangasius Expo, held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Australia, has offered Australian visitors 100 virtual stalls of Vietnamese processed tra and basa (Pangasius) fish products.
The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the final results of the 16th period of review (POR16) for the period from August 1, 2018 to July 31, 2019, regarding Vietnam’s tra and basa fish (pangasius) exported to the US.
Vietnam’s tra fish exporters can still access the US market despite the US Department of Commerce (DOC)’s imposition of high anti-dumping duties on Vietnamese tra fish, said Secretary General of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) Truong Dinh Hoe.
The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) will inspect Vietnam’s pangasius quality control system in the next few months, according the National Agro-Forestry-Fisheries Quality Assurance Department (NAFIQAD).
Relevant Vietnamese agencies have been requested to thoroughly study the US’s regulations imposed on Vietnam’s tra and basa fish in order to employ measures to ensure that exports continue.
