Bamboo Airway’s direct air route linking Vietnam and the UK was officially launched on March 22 with a flight departing from Hanoi’s Noi Bai international airport to London.

Vietnamese airports served 79.28 million passengers in the first nine months of 2018, a rise of 12.1 percent year-on-year; and transported 1.1 million tonnes of goods, up 5.6 percent, reported the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).

Soekarno Hatta international airport in Indonesia’s capital city of Jakarta will have direct flights to 70 countries by 2017, once its new Terminal 3 becomes operational.
