University admission scores this year increased compared to 2019, with information technology, computer science, international economics and marketing attracting a large number of candidates.
The People’s Court of Hoa Binh province on May 21 sentenced 15 defendants involved in the 2017-2018 national high school exam cheating scandal in which dozens of candidates had their exam scores raised so they could graduate high school and enrol in universities or colleges.
This year, the Ministry of Education and Training will decide minimum entrance scores for only teacher training institutions while minimum entrance scores for other universities, colleges and vocational schools will be scrapped.
