Start-up opportunities will be broadened for technology aficionados and young scientists as TECHFEST Vietnam 2015, a technology start-up event, kicked off in Hanoi on May 15.
The event was co-organised by the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialisation Development (NATEC) under Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam Digital Communication Association and the Vietnam National University - Hanoi (VNUH).
The event, the first of its kind, has drawn the participation of over 50 investors and 30 venture funds such as CyberAgents Ventures, IDG Ventures and Golden Gates Ventures. There are over 50 science-technology start-up enterprises showcasing their products and connecting investments.
Numerous programmes are scheduled at the event, including exhibitions and workshops on international experience with start-ups, innovations and technology market potentials.
A start-up competition called Start-up Discovery will be also held, presenting a chance for Vietnamese start-ups to bring their creative products in front of international investors.
