Hanoi (VNA) – Minister of Agriculture of Kaluga oblast of Russia Efremov Alexander Viktorovich has expressed his hope that the success that TH Group has achieved in Vietnam will be replicated in Kaluga where the giant Vietnamese diary manufacturer is building its high-tech dairy farm clusters.

The Russian official has led a Kaluga delegation to visit TH’s high-tech dairy farming complex with the World Record Union-recognised world's largest closed production process in Nghia Dan district of the central province of Nghe An.

"I have definitely found the most important secret to TH Group's resounding success. We hope that the firm will bring that essential element (world's front-end technology combined with the modern management science) to our homeland through its investment project in Kaluga. I believe that TH's dairy farm and plant in Kaluga will become the leading of its kind in Russia in terms of scale and quality,” he said.

The official showed surprise at the rapid growth of TH Group over the past 15 years of formation and development. With their love for the homeland and the tireless efforts of TH Founder, Hero of Labour Thai Huong, as well as leaders of workers of TH Group, Nghia Dan has risen from a far-flung area to the dairy capital of Vietnam with the world's largest closed-process farm and the leading modern milk, purified water, wood processing factory in Southeast Asia.

Ngo Minh Hai, Chairman of TH Group, told Viktorovich that although Vietnam does not have immense fields like Russia, Vietnam has optimised every piece of land to ensure highest efficiency and production. “For instance, in Russia, we can only grow one maize crop per year, but in Vietnam we can grow up to three crops. Similarly, we can only harvest two crops of grass for cow per year in Kaluga, but here in Nghia Dan, we harvest 6-8 crops,” said Hai.

Viktorovich, who used to be the leader of a dairy company in the Russia, showed special interest in the way TH manage the herd of nearly 70,000 cows through the Perometer chip worn on the cows’ legs. All information regarding the health of the cows is transmitted directly to the signal reception box at the Milking Centre and updated on the system's database. Viktorovich was strongly impressed by the closed milking process, followed by immediate refrigeration, and other modern procedures within TH's extensive operational system at the farm.

At TH's Feed Centre No. 2 in Nghia Dan, the head of the Kaluga region's agricultural sector expressed his impression of the scale and technology that TH applies in processing food for dairy cows.

TH has set up two major feed centres. Each can silage hundreds of thousands of tonnes of raw feed each crop. Every day, more than 2,000 tonnes of feed are mixed, while rations with dozens of separate menus are distributed to different groups of cows, including lactating cows, dry cows, calves, pregnant cows, heifers, and labouring cows.

These centres have fully automated cow ration planning, mixing, processing and supply divisions consulted and operated by Israeli nutrition experts using NDS Professional (Nutritional Dynamic System) – a software for preparing food rations and 1-ONE software for mixing and spreading cow feed.

Visiting the TH Microbial Fertiliser Treatment Plant, the Kaluga Minister of Agriculture was surprised and impressed with the perfection of the circular production process at TH Group. At the plant, byproducts of the livestock farming process are effectively reused in cultivation. Organic waste is collected and processed into biological buffers for farms and organic fertiliser production through the world's leading modern and expensive imported technologies in the livestock industry, which was developed right from the first days of the farm’s operation.

Since late 2022, TH's Greenma organic fertiliser product has been provided to the Vietnamese market, and certified of meeting national technical regulations on fertilisers (QCVN 01-189:2019/BNNPTNT).

“Through directly exploring the way you organise the high-tech and large-scale agricultural production in Nghia Dan, I am strongly confident in TH and realise that the achievements you have achieved today are just the beginning and greater successes are still ahead, which are the result of an investment process that you have carried out with great efforts," Viktorovich stated.

Introducing the hosts on the dairy farming industry in Kaluga, Viktorovich highlighted the similarities between Kaluga and Nghe An in agricultural land area. Dairy farming is also a priority industry to attract investment for Kagula, he said, adding that Kaluga currently has a total dairy herd of about 52,000 cows. The Kaluga government hopes that when investors like TH come to the locality, in just a few years, the number of cows will reach 72,000. The average milk yield of cows in Kaluga is about 27 litres per cow each day. The official expressed his admiration as he learned that the average milk yield of TH in Nghe An is 33 litres per cow each day, while the average daily milk yield of TH farms in Russia is 40 litres each cow.

"I have definitely found the most important secret to TH Group's resounding success. We hope that the firm will bring that essential element (world's front-end technology combined with the modern management science) to our homeland through its investment project in Kaluga. I believe that TH's dairy farm and plant in Kaluga will become the leading of its kind in Russia in terms of scale and quality,”

The Kaluga Minister of Agriculture expressed his hope that the success that TH Group has achieved in Vietnam will quickly be replicated in Kaluga, where TH is carrying out the construction of its high-tech dairy farm clusters and the leading high-capacity clean fresh milk processing factory in the Russia./.

TH Group’s investment project in Kaluga with full components like the firm’s project in Nghia Dan district of Nghe An, is an important part of TH’s larger project to develop high-tech dairy farm clusters and clean fresh milk processing plant in Russia.

The first phase of TH farm in Ulyanovo district of Kaluga completed in late 2022. The design of the second farm located in Khvastovichi district is being finalise and its construction will begin after the building of the Ulyanovo farm finishes.

In January 2023, TH imported 2,400 purebred high-yield cows from the US to Kaluga and officially operated its farm there. By applying modern technology, scientific management and serious operating procedures, TH's herd of cows in Kaluga has now adapted well with the local environment and produced the highest milk yield in Russia.

TH has taken over 20,000 hectares of farming land in Kaluga and started cultivation on an area of 8,000 hectares with crops serving high-yield livestock farming such as wheat, barley, maize, and alfafa and ryegrass grass. Hundreds of Kaluga locals who previously had to go to the city to find jobs have now returned to work for TH's project and live happily in their hometown.

TH has paid great attention to community activities. Along with regularly sponsoring festive activities in the locality, the firm has presented gifts to children from poor family during major festivals of Russia, while providing machines for street cleaning and repairing roads.

To date, apart from Kaluga, TH has been present in Moscow oblast, Primoskiy (Far East) and the Republic of Bashkortostan. In Moscow oblast, TH has launched a dairy farm cluster with a capacity of breeding 12,000 dairy cows. Currently, TH has brought nearly 3,000 cows to this area, raising the total number of TH’s cows in Russia to 6,000. The project has become a bright spot of the Vietnam-Russia economic cooperation with great success potential.

Alongside, a milk processing plant with the largest capacity in Russia is being built by TH at Kaluga industrial park located 100km of the centre of Moscow. The plant’s designers and providers of machinery and technology are the world's leading multinational companies in the industry, and well-known contractors with extensive experience in the industrial construction industry in Russia. The first phase of the plant is scheduled to complete by the end of 2024./.
