Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Thai government marked Anti-Trafficking Day on June 5 by reiterating its commitment to a decisive crackdown on human trafficking activities.

Thai Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha inaugurated this year's event on the concept "Pracharat Against the Threat of Human Trafficking," with ambassadors and representatives of embassies, international organisations, and over 500 attendees from public and private organisations expressing their commitment to fighting human trafficking.

Gen Prayut confirmed that during the past four years, the government has been committed to reforming the country's efforts against human trafficking through legal action and enforcement, and by protecting human trafficking victims and launching anti-trafficking campaigns. He urged all agencies involved to remain committed to working together to prevent and suppress human trafficking.
