The third Thai-Lao Technical conference on Geology and Mineral Resources is being Bangkok, Thailand.

Ministerof Natural Resources and Environment General Dapong Ratanasuwan chairedthe opening ceremony on July 7, which was attended by officials fromDepartment of Mineral Resources from both nations and officers fromThailand’s Department of Primary Industries and Mines as well asrepresentatives from the Lao Department of Mines.

Thailand andLaos have been working together on geology and mineral resources studyfor over 12 years. Both countries have been exchanging information amongtheir related units, helping each other in human resources developmentand geological researches.

The five-day event will be concluded on July 11.-VNA
