The yellow-clad People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) organised a march from Lumpini Park to Silom Road in Bangkok on June 10 in order to raise awareness on their "vote-no" campaign.
The group has launched the "vote-no" campaign in the light of the general election scheduled on July 3.
During the march, the PAD also distributed leaflets encouraging voters to cast blank ballots.
Metropolitan Police deputy commissioner Maj General Phanu Kerdlarppol said the march has disrupted traffic from Rama IV Road to Silom.
The group is planning to march from June 10 onward at business and commercial centers including Silom, Jatuchak, Siam, Rajprasong as well as UNESCO office in Bangkok.
On the July 3 election, more than 50 million Thai voters are expected to select 500 delegates to the House of Representatives for the next term. The election is forecast to be a fierce competition between the ruling Democrat Party and the Puea Thai Party./.
