A Cambodian news source said Thai Minister of Energy PichaiNaripthaphan had an unofficial discussion with Secretary of State of theCambodian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, Ith Prang, on theproject on the sideline of the 29 th Energy Ministers Meeting of theAssociation of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Brunei .
At the meeting, Pichai affirmed the two countries will restartcooperative ties in the project after ten years of interruption.
He said the two countries’ foreign ministers will discuss details ofthe project, adding that this is a public discussion and is not relatedto border issues between Thailand and Cambodia .
The OCA is a 27,000 sq. km offshore area in the Thailand Gulf estimated to contain significant reserves of natural gas./.
