Thailand expects 44 degree celsius temperature in April

Bangkok (VNA/NNT) – Thailand is forecasted to experience a warmer climate, with the highest temperature expected at 43-44 degrees Celsius during mid-April in the Kingdom's central region.

The Meteorological Department (TMD) Director-General WanchaiSakudomchai has revealed that Thailand will be facing a severe drought disaster along with a warmer climate, at 41 or up to 43-44 degrees Celsius in the lower Northern, upper Central, and lower Northeastern regions.

He has said however that the drought situation this year will not be the most severe Thailand has ever faced, despite the current harsh conditions.

Provinces expected to be affected from the extreme temperatures are Uttaradit, Phetchabun, Sukhothai, Kanchanaburi, Buriram, and Sisaket.-VNA
