The Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MAC) is hosting the Thailand Green Livestock Expo 2013 until May 5, with an aim to raise awareness on environment.
According to MAC Minister Yukol Limlamthong, under the theme of eco-friendly products, the expo aims to raise awareness on food safety among Thais and also promote the country’s livestock products in the international market.
The event also serves as a negotiation stage between Thai entrepreneurs and their foreign importers, he added.
In the framework of the expo, there is an exhibition showcasing the works of King Bhumibol Adulyadej featuring his royal duty in the livestock area over the years.
The five-day expo is expected to see around 100,000 visitors.-VNA
