Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Thailand and the United Kingdom have discussed further cooperation in trade and investment, as well as an English language training programme for Thai teachers.
Spokesperson for the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs Busadee Santipitak said the strategic meeting between Thailand and the UK discussed cooperation in trade, investment, education, defence, technology, and civil affairs.
Thailand placed an emphasis on cooperation in pursuit of the administration's Thailand 4.0 agenda and the Eastern Economic Corridor initiative.
It also discussed meeting the 200,000-tonne export quota for chicken, food product certifications for Thai businesses investing in the UK, and a programme to train 13,500 Thai teachers on teaching English.
Other topics discussed include cooperation on financial technology, industrial technology, and the civil aviation industry.-VNA
