The first non-professional competition at the 31st SEA Games

More than 200 runners coming from many marathon clubs across the country were selected through the races of VPBank, Salonpas or Tien Phong Newspapers… All of them shined and inspired the fans around.

At exactly 8:00 on May 19th, more than 200 non-professional athletes participated in the marathon content in the role of running companions at the 31st SEA Games.

In the 42-kilometer race, each athlete ran 8 laps around My Dinh National Stadium (Hanoi) and finished their running at the pitch- the field used for official competition.

This is also the first time that the competition for amateur athletes becomes an official activity of the SEA Games.
