The joyful return of the Đào Nương Procession after 6 years of interruption

This marks the first year the festival has been held in six years, as it was disrupted by two disease outbreaks (African swine fever from 2017 to 2019 and the prolonged impact of the COVID-19 pandemic until 2022).

The villagers of Đào Đặng in Trung Nghĩa commune, Hưng Yên province, celebrated the Mẫu Đào Nương festival with enthusiasm on February 21st, both in the morning and afternoon.

This marks the first year the festival has been held in six years, as it was disrupted by two disease outbreaks (African swine fever from 2017 to 2019 and the prolonged impact of the COVID-19 pandemic until 2022). 

The people of Đào Đặng finally had the opportunity to joyously welcome the Spring festival back into their lives.

This year's event saw a large participation of community members from the village, coming together to celebrate the 612th birth anniversary of Mẫu Đào Nương (February 2nd, 1411 - February 2nd, 2023 in the lunar calendar) and commemorate 1983 years since General Trần Hưng Đạo assisted the Trưng Sisters in driving away the Eastern Han forces./.
