As many as 30 photos taken by reporters from Japan’s Kyodo News and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reviewing important milestones from the cooperation and friendship between the two countries are on display in Tokyo.
Jointly organised by the two news agencies, the event lasts three months.
Addressing the opening ceremony on December 2, Minister-counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy to Japan Nguyen Phuong Hong praised the two news agencies’ efforts in organising the event, saying that it is a practical and significant activity to further promote mutual understanding between the two peoples.
Kyodo News President Masaki Fukuyama underscored that the exhibition is a highlight in a series of activities to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries and the 30 years of relations between the two news agencies.
He said that Vietnam-Japan relations has strongly developed, ranging from economics to culture and people-to-people exchanges. He expressed his hope that the exhibition will contribute to further strengthening the relationship between the two countries and agencies.
The event provides Japanese people with an opportunity to understand more about Vietnam, its country and people through photos of its people and landscapes.
Last month, a similar exhibition was jointly held by the two news agencies in Hanoi.-VNA
