Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) held a ceremony to announce and honour the Top 10 Outstanding Digital Technology Enterprises in Vietnam 2024 on September 21.
The event, hosted in Hanoi, was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Information and Communications, technology experts, and over 400 delegates, including business leaders and professionals from digital technology companies.
For 2024, the programme introduced changes in the award categories, now comprising eight groups divided into 28 fields, including a special group. The inclusion of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards was introduced as an added advantage for businesses practising sustainable development in their operations and governance.
After two months of nominations, the programme attracted significant interest, with 81 nominations from 56 enterprises making it to the Top 10 list of Outstanding Digital Technology Enterprises 2024. Among them, 11 companies reported revenues in the trillions of dong.
According to statistics, the total revenue of the companies on this year's Top 10 list reached 115.5 trillion VND (over 4.7 billion USD), employing 76,767 workers. Notably, the 11 trillion-VND technology enterprises contributed 82.2 trillion VND in revenue, employing 52,244 workers.
Despite global economic challenges in 2023, Vietnamese digital technology enterprises achieved impressive growth. In the software export and technology services sector, many companies saw revenue growth between 10 and 40%. Standout performers included GEM with growth rates of 80-100%, Techvify at 140%, NTQ Solution with 37.15%, and VMO Holdings with 41.33%.
Companies providing digital transformation services domestically also reported positive results, with several significant government projects being awarded to companies such as CMCTS, CTIN, VNT, FPT IS, MK Smart and Mobifone. FPT Software, in particular, exceeded 1 billion USD in revenue from international markets, marking a 27% growth.
Ngo Dien Hy, Vice Chairman of VINASA, said the sustainable development of Vietnam's digital technology enterprises is built on the foundation of owning, developing, and applying advanced technological tools. It also cultivates a strong workforce of outstanding IT experts and engineers, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI). Many companies have created AI products that have been patented and have won various international awards.
The growth formula for many digital technology enterprises recently has been significant investment in R&D, specifically in applying AI tools such as OCR, chatbots, code converters, code generators, and test automation. These tools aim to increase labour productivity, accelerate product packaging processes, and optimise resources, thereby driving both revenue and profit growth.
After the awards ceremony, the list of the TOP 10 Excellent Digital Technology Enterprises of Vietnam 2024 will be presented by VINASA to government agencies, ministries, and over 5,000 large organisations that apply information technology nationwide.
Additionally, this list will be shared with businesses, associations, trade offices, and trade promotion organizations across 100 countries and economies within VINASA’s international cooperation network.
The list of the TOP 10 Excellent Digital Technology Enterprises of Vietnam 2024, along with accompanying publications in three languages—Vietnamese, English, and Japanese—will be available for free download on the program’s website at www.top10ict.com and VINASA’s official website at www.vinasa.org.vn./.>
