Hanoi (VNA) –Vietnam Report Company (VNR) has announced the top 10 most prestigious listed companies for 2016. The list was announced for the second year in Vietnam.

The company said the top 10 enterprises had good business results and image management, and created positive communication in 2015-16.

Most of the companies are large with leading revenue and after-tax profit in their sectors. The firms also have the return on assets and return on equity higher than their industries’ average level. Their stock prices in the last three to six months have been on the rising trend.

In term of media coverage, the companies have been among the popular names in the country.

VNR selected and analysed listed companies with high capitalisation value based on three criteria -- financial capacity as shown in financial reports, prestige in the media and evaluation from specialists on the growth potential of stock prices and their affects on the VNIndex.

The report also revealed that businesses should keep at least one-third of the information announced to themselves to better manage information in the media. Information of their operation and business plans should especially be given priority to avoid rumours which could affect investor sentiment and decisions related to the stock market.

In addition, listed businesses should diversify information provided to the media to enhance their image.
