Top Thai brands on show in Hanoi

The Top Thai Brands 2017 fair opened in Hanoi on August 17 as part of efforts by the Thai trade ministry and Thai Embassy in Hanoi to promote trade between Vietnam and Thailand.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Top Thai Brands 2017 fair opened in Hanoion August 17 as part of efforts by the Thai trade ministry and Thai Embassy inHanoi to promote trade between Vietnam and Thailand.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Ambassador of Thailand toVietnam Wanthanee Viputwongsaku said Thailand and Vietnam are importanteconomic partners of each other, as seen in their growing trade revenues

She noted that the two countries marked the 40th anniversary oftheir diplomatic relationship last year, and the Thai Embassy continues to organizemore activities to bolster bilateral cooperation across the fields, one ofwhich is the trade fair Top Thai Brands Hanoi 2017.

The first two days of the fair will be reserved for 113 Thai companiesand trade associations to meet up with Vietnamese counterparts and seekpartners and business opportunities. 


The fair will be opened for visitors on August 19 and 20 with 192 boothsoffering Thai products and services.

Sidelines activities include performances by Thai dancers.

Vietnam-Thailand two-way trade has continuously increased in recentyears from 5.78 billion USD in 2009 to 12.5 billion USD in 2016. As of April2017, the bilateral trade reached 4.3 billion USD, a year-on-year rise of 21.5percent. Two-way trade is expected to top 20 billion USD by 2020.-VNA

Retail fuel prices rise slightly from March 20

According to the latest adjustment, RON 95-III, the most commonly used gasoline in Vietnam, has increased by 440 VND to 20,080 VND (0.79 USD) per litre, while E5 RON 92 has risen by 410 VND to 19,690 VND per litre.

Da Nang, HCM City receive recommendations for development of financial centres

Toyota Motor produces 700,000th car in Vietnam

Toyota Motor Vietnam's factory in the northern province of Vinh Phuc was established in 1995 and officially began operations one year later.
